Arizona is as always struggling with test scores that can't compete nationally because of our high ELL population and inadequate state funding. Recently, Prop 100 sales tax increase passed and showed us that despite our worst fears, people were at least willing to pay a penny to help our schools. Many of us in schools with high Hispanic populations are watching to see what effect SB 1070 will have on our populations. Even if the federal case overturns it, some families have already fled the state.

Welcome to Your Local Education Reform
This site was started out of a discussion on #edchat on Tuesday, July 6th. It is designed as a central source to document educational reform success and fights in your local community. Please add your reform success and fights. This can include professional development that you are doing in your area, district changes that are for the best, sites of good practices or bills that have passed in your state. Try to keep updating this site as often as possible.
The site is organized by states. Create a link for your state or click on the link for your state and update what is happening in your area.
